What’s Next?
Ok, I’m holding on the press release etc till I fix up some of the points you guys brought up:
- Making it clear that you can Bunch Out in any city in the world
- Making it clear that you can Bunch Out for all kinds of hobbies, interests, activities etc
What’s next on Bunch Out?
- Launch the full app… allow you to browse and contact others…
- Get RSS/ Email notifications if new groups get created in a category
- Adding tags/ more categories to group listings
- For every group listing - show # of views (+ number of contact requests?)
- Promote your group listing! Embed in your blog, or social network…
- Allow Community to flag ‘naughty’ profiles so I don’t have to be the only one keeping them out
- Facebook App!
- Add Testimonials on group listings you’ve met?
What do you think? Do you have any ideas?

Somehow, Bunch Out’s idea is kinda like meetup.com?
Somehow, true! It helps you achieve similar goals.
Just like you can take a train, bus, car, etc to get from A to B… Both Meetup.com and Bunch Out can help you meet new groups of people.
However, Bunch Out is different in its user experience, and it serves a segment Meetup.com might not directly serve.
1. Members of a group don’t need to share a specific interest.
2. Bunch Out is not event based. Your group of friends can get in touch with a new group of people to go out anytime.
3. Your friends can more easily go out with people who have totally different interests.
Personally, I see it more similar to the personals section for http://craigslist.org , except you have groups, and browsing is more fun.
Aha.. now I get it. I’ll be waiting for the Facebook App then.
